CALDA Clinic

Dr. Claudia M. Elsig has more than 20 years of experience in the field of psychiatric and psychotherapeutic medicine.

She studied at the Medical Faculty of the University of Zurich and after that underwent extensive and in-depth training in various scientifically based psychotherapeutic methods. She specialized in psychotraumatology. He is deeply interested in the consequences of psychological and physical injuries, such as post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and eating disorders.

On her way to becoming a multidisciplinary specialist, she sought the best mentors in Europe in behavioral therapy, hypnosis, EMDR and trauma therapy, among whom were Professor Walter Bongarzt, Professor Klaus Grave, Professor Waldemar Greil, Dr. Ellert. Together with Dr. Kira Kubenz, she was trained in genetics and genetic counseling with a focus on addiction, depression and anxiety disorders and discovered the world of epigenetics. For many years, she led a special clinical hypnosis consultation at a private clinic in Zurich.

In 2004, she founded CALDA and developed an individual integrative concept for the treatment of mental illness.

In 2008, Dr. Elsig co-founded The Kusnacht Practice. Until 2015, she created this institution for drug addicts as a medical director and chief psychiatrist. She deepened her knowledge of the different types of addiction and their consequences. "Kusnacht Practice" gained international fame at that time, thanks to the work of Dr. Elsig, who was engaged in the treatment of famous artists and prominent personalities.

After Kusnacht Practice was sold to foreign entrepreneurs, she founded the CALDA Clinic in 2015. The goal was to optimize the individual 1:1 treatment concept she had already developed and bring medical and therapeutic attention back to the forefront. She is very proud that the exclusive CALDA concept, which she originally developed, was awarded the international prize "European Prize in Medicine".

Today she is the manager of the CALDA Clinic for Inpatient Patients on Lake Zurich and the CALDA Practice, an outpatient psychiatric and psychotherapy practice in Kusnacht. In addition, she is a sought-after referee and coach. The doctor has received a number of awards for international recognition of the highest professionalism combined with reliability and effectiveness.
